Listening is one of the key secrets to entering the temple of God. Listening represents passivity. Listening means to completely forget about yourself – only then can you listen.
When you listen carefully to someone, you forget about yourself. If you cannot forget about yourself, that means you are not listening. If you are too focused on yourself, you only pretend that you are listening – when you are not truly listening. You can nod your head, sometimes you can say yes or no – but you are not listening.
When you listen, you become only a channel, passivity, receptivity, a womb. You become feminine. You cannot reach God being an aggressive invader, a conqueror. You can only reach God ... or, better, God can only reach you when you are receptive, receptive like a female. When you become yin, receptivity, then the door opens up. And you wait. Listening is the art of being passive.
Receptivity represents the feminine, receptive quality of water and emotions. The hands of the figure on the card are lifted up in order to accept, and she is completely submerged in water. She has no head, no busy and aggressive mind to impede her pure receptivity. Once filled up and overflowing, she continuously empties herself up and receives even more. The lotus arising from her represents the perfect harmony of the universe. When we are tuned in to the same wavelength with it, this harmony becomes obvious.
The Queen of Water carries with her the time of infinity and gratitude for everything that life has to offer, without any expectations and demands. Obligations, duties, thoughts of merit or reward are not important. Sensitivity, intuition and compassion are qualities that now light up the way, melting away all the obstacles that separate us from each other and from the whole.
