In fact, there is really no other way. Buddha has fully blossomed; he is completely open. His lotus flower, his petals have reached perfection. Of course, when you are filledwith spring, it is much more beautiful than the autumn dew falling on the lotus leaves. This is one of the most beautiful things that we can see in nature – when autumn dew falls on the lotus leaves and sparkles in the morning sun like real pearls.
However, this is a transient experience. When the sun rises, the autumn dew begins to disappear. This temporary beauty cannot be compared, of course, with the eternal spring of your being. You look back and see that it has always been there. You strive for it with all your might, and you will be surprised to learn that it is your very being in itself. Wherever you are, it will be with you. It will shower you with flowers. It is your spiritual spring.
This person is standing there alone, silent and yet alert. His inner being is filled with flowers that bring the quality of spring and rebirth, wherever he goes. The inner blossoming and wholesomeness that he feels provide him with unlimited possibilities to move. He can go in any direction – inward or outward –as it does not matter, because external forces cannot affect his joy and maturity. He has reached the state of balance and breadth; the white radiance surrounding him is his protection and his light. All the experiences of his life have brought him to this point of perfection.
